Through our campaigns we gather evidence, build partnerships and share the stories of disabled children and their families. Together we’re driving change and improving outcomes for disabled children.
Changing disabled children’s lives
We listen to disabled children and their families to understand what truly matters to them.
By helping decision makers understand the challenges families face and what needs to change, we work to ensure every disabled child can live life to the fullest.
Our policy priorities are shaped by the needs of disabled children and include:
- Equipment: helping families get the right equipment at the right time
- Support: making sure families can get the help they need when they need it most
- Play: improving access to inclusive play in the home and community
We gather the experience and evidence – including real stories – to advocate for fairer and more effective policies, ensuring every child can thrive.
Working with decision makers
We’re fair and fearless, acting as a critical friend to those in power to advocate for those in need. Through campaigns we tackle inequality, advocating for better policy for disabled children and their families.
We bring individuals and organisations together to drive change for disabled children, including:
- Working closely with MPs, Lords, and civil servants to ensure disabled children are represented in policy discussions.
- Meet with decision makers, share family stories, and submit evidence to government consultations and parliamentary inquiries.
- Providing the Secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Access to Disability, bringing together politicians, experts and families to improve access to vital equipment.
We can’t do this alone. We work with trusted partners including Disabled Children’s Partnership to push for better policies, better services and better support.
